My son is going through a huge Pokemon obsession stage, and told me he wanted to be Pikachu for Halloween.  He refused to wear his costume last year, so I learned my lesson and made his costume just a hoodie because he loves to wear those at least.

His hoodie began white, and I dyed it with Rit Lemon Yellow.  The ears and tail are polar fleece!  His candy bag (pokeball bag) was made from felt. Hand and machine sewn. The last picture is of him with his sisters, they were kittens!  I got their hats on Etsy, so cute!

lol, that's awesome! I had the same problem with my son last year, he was so resistant to putting on his costume. That was smart to make it out of something that he is already willing to wear. Turned out really cute too!

Creative, clever and 'just enough' for this little tyke to feel happy in it. Love it.
