I always like having scary takes on recognizable characters. Who is more recognizable than Hello Kitty!

I made the mask out of chicken wire and duct tape. Half the face is a white mesh fabric and the rest of the white fabric is a plushy fleece. I painted the mesh red for muscle appearance and used real dirt to make the zombie look realistic. I drew with fabric marker the teeth and muscle bits. The exposed brain is made out of pink tshirt scraps I had left over and some hot glue gun action with some red paint.

When I took off the mask I still wanted to be recognizable so I painted an old tshirt with Hello Kitty ears, the same bow I used on the mask, same nose as the mask only with Xs for the eyes so I was "Dead Hello Kitty" and with the mask I was "Zombie Hello Kitty".

The body for Hello Kitty was made with an old skirt I had, sewed on the green jumper from some fleece I had hanging around and used black and red paint to decorate the bloody look. The arms I sewed with felt and stuffed with plastic bags. I sewed the legs with elastics so they stayed up like legwarmers and they were made of fleece.

I also added fishing line to the arms so I could them around when I was in the costume. In this pic you cane see the arm moving but in a bit of an inappropriate manner!

I enjoyed this costume thoroughly especially walking around town!  Smiley
