I was recently in the vintage halloween swap, and partnered up with the amazing kittykill.  We had something in common...a LOVE of classic horror flicks, so I didn't even need to think about it...I was making The Bride of Frankenstein.

For this poppet, I really tried to stay true to the original character.  The one detail I really wanted to emphasize was her chin...Elsa Lanchester had the cutest chin dimple Grin.  The wig scared me..."how the heck am I going to pull THAT off?!?!"...crocheting to the rescue!!!  I just brushed out the wool blend yarn I used, and I'm pretty happy with it.  For the eyes, I thought they should have some weird bright colors, so I ran with that.  Okay, okay...I know...the original character didn't have cleavage hanging out...BUUUUUT...I have a weird obsession with poppet boobies, so I simply couldn't cover them up Cheesy

I think I beat my record for worst photos of all time...here are the "best" ones I found, lol...

Thanks for looking!!! Grin

I love how she turned out. You are the Poppet mistress! I saw her first on Kitty Kill's Facebook page. She was gleeful at her arrival.
As for bad pics, I'd have to say that a good camera is a must, but if you can't get a descent point and shoot (I have the Nikon Elph), lighting and a background make a big impact. I take pics outside in natural lighting when I can. My latest pics have a white shower curtain or sheet thrown over a chair, and then I take pics in the shade.

Thanks again ladies!!!!

Craftewoman, thank you so much for the tips...I need all the help I can get on photography!!!! I usually take pics outside, too, but it was super cloudy here that day.  Even when I do snap pics outside, I'm never truly happy with the end result...maybe I should take a class or something Wink
