I made my costume and my fiance's costume. We don't really do 'couples' costume, but we only took a few pictures and we're both in most of them. I'll tell you about both, but I'm just entering Mr. Peanut.

For the Ursula costume, I made the corset/tentacles which are stuffed with bubblewrap and coat hangers, styled the wig to make it stand up, and put together the necklace. For Mr. Peanut, I put made the body out of upholstery foam, fabric, and paint. I also made the spats, screen printed the hat, painted a Goodwill cane, and fashioned a monocle out of jewelry findings. The body is a little tight because fiance always waits until the last minute and he wasn't home to try it on as I was making it.

Also - as always, I am sure I borrowed ideas from Craftster and the internet in general so credit is owed but I don't know where at the moment.
