I am a preschool teacher and would like to make an amigurumi animal or creature of some sort for my kids for Christmas.  I have 17 kids so I want something that is small and doesn't take too long to make, while appealing to boys and girls.  I've been racking my brain trying to think of something to make, but I can't think of anything.  If anyone has any suggestions I would be very thankful for your input!

Maybe a simple octopus with different colored legs?

Edit:  Maybe something like this.

Using different colors and expressions you can create quite a wide range of monsters, both interesting for boys and girls!
