I pretty much begged my son to want a more popular or easier shape. He would not change his mind. My son has a lot of faith in me. I am glad, cause I love how it turned out. I mostly sewed this costume. With my time restrains I ended up hot gluing the beak and tails on. The cube was made with flexifirm, light blue felt, and sheer shiny fabric. There were two websites that helped inspire. First one gave me the idea it was possible http://www.twindragonflydesigns.com/2011/09/angry-birds-family-costume-tutorial.html?m=. Second one I was able to construct a shape with http://www.sewfun.com/2009/11/04/how-to-make-perfect-fabric-baby-blocks/

That's really cool! I love that iridescent fabric and any excuse to use it is a good one. While I'm not familiar with that particular Angry Bird, he definitely looks like an ice cube and obviously an angry bird so he's very recognizable. You did a really good job! And he looks so happy which is really the most important thing.

Thanks. I originally never thought about using iridescent fabric. Once I saw it at the fabric store there was no way this costume would look like an ice cube with out it. ;-)

This is beautifully done. What a lucky boy! My son wanted to be an ice bird too so I feel your pain when trying to redirect to a different bird. It looks great!
