My daughter wanted a "Brave" theme for her birthday this year, so I made her a Princess Merida costume. And lucky for me, she decided that she would wear that costume for Halloween, too. Which meant that I had to come up with costumes for me and the husband.

So Husband was King Fergus, I was Queen Elinor and Miss P was Princess Merida.

I asked him to tie his leg up for the peg leg, but he wasn't game. Heh.

All that's missing are the triplets. I had someone offer up their kids, but I politely declined. One is enough, thank you!

[edited to add] All costumes were self-drafted. I actually draped for the first time! Yay!

That's so awesome!  I love that all three of you went with the theme, and you all look perfect!

Wonderful costumes. I love that you made it all up. That's the craziest, but best way to go! Your daughter is so cute in her costume.
