Unfortunately I don't have a copy of the movie, but I've read the book over and over and over again!

Um, guys.... I have a confession.   

I have seen all five hours of the 1995 BBC version of P&P over 30 times.   

I used to put it on as background noise while I was doing costume rendering projects in grad school.  I needed something to keep me company, but not distract me visually.  (Not that the visuals aren't amazing!)  But really, you can listen to the whole movie like a radio drama, and know everything that is going on, without looking up from your drafting desk.  My poor husband used to work the 4:00 am shift my 3rd year at school, so he would go to bed around 7:00 pm, and I would put on one of a few movies.  He frequently got up at 3:00 am to the sound of the dvd's main menu music, because when it would end, I'd be so engrossed in my work, that I wouldn't have bothered to turn it off.

Also, another product of grad school.... turning P&P into a drinking game.

Oh, how I love me some Pride and Prejudice! My family has resolved that I am going to watch British period dramas over and over to the point that they actually watch (and enjoy) them now. We have a running joke about Twister Turrill from Lark Rise to Candleford. I figure if they won't read the books, they better watch them!

Definitely the BBC version!      ♥  Love, love, love this show.   And all period British pieces.   


And I've been plotting all day as to what to make for my partners.  I've decided on two of them (and ordered supplies), but am still thinking about the 3rd.
