Snowmen Tags - featuring Elmer's products

These wee fellas were a happy accident whilst craft punching the arctic. I was trying to speed up by folding over the map and punching two circles at once. I punched too close to the edge and a snowman appeared! Cheesy

I used...

  • 1" circular punch
  • Elmer's Painters (Sherbert Swirl)
  • Black ink pen
  • CraftBond All Purpose Glue Stick
  • Cardstock tags
  • String

Fold your paper in half and put it in the punch folded side first. Punch with just a little gap of a few mm at the crease side. (See photo)

Open your man up and run your nail along the centre crease just to flatten it out a little bit.

Draw a happy snowmany face. I used the Elmer's Painters orange pen to make the carrot nose and it was perfect! You could add gem eyes for another variation.

Attach to the tags. The CraftBond Glue Stick proved to have just the right amount of sticky without bumping up like some other sticks can do, so I was happy, because these were delicate snowmen! Cheesy Loop through some string and you're ready to write your tags, or slip over wine bottles, or decorate your tree with cute wee snowmen.

As you see you can use all kinds of papers with these fellas Smiley

Happy accidents are the best.  I would have never thought to use the punch in this way -- thanks!

They're so cute--and you're so smart for using the punch like that!

I'm going to have to remember these cute tags when I'm wrapping up my holiday goodies this year! I always have more fun wrapping and tagging holiday gifts than I do shopping for them Smiley.
