Fairy Crown Napkin Rings - featuring Elmer's products
Originally I intended these little crowns as dainty ornamental things but then I realized they'd be perfect sparkly napkin rings for holiday feasting!
Using the Elmer's CraftBond All Purpose Glue Stick I covered the reverse side of prepared piece of music paper.

I rolled the prepared sheet onto a paper tube...

... and folded the ends to make clean edges.

I must confess that I've never been a fan of glue sticks. I never ever use them, BUT I think the Elmer's stick might have made me a convert. I'm pretty picky about the glue I use and I was really impressed by it's sticking power. This is high praise indeed from a glue connoisseur!
Cut out
THIS TEMPLATE and run the CraftBond Permanent Dot Runner along the short edge. Note: The cardboard roll gives stability to the crowns but you could easily use the template with heavy paper, skipping the roll altogether.

I did NOT press the two sides very firmly together, so I found I could actually unstick and re-stick the template a number of times with a single application of the dot runner. This should hold your template in place nicely while you cut out the zigzag pattern using either the X-ACTO Gripster Craft Knife or X-ACTO Precision Tip Scissors.

(Psst! Don't worry if your edges are a little wonky, cutting like this can be awkward. You can always trim everything nice and neat when you're finished cutting.)
Now you can embellish your little crowns! I used the CraftBond Permanent Scrapbooking Tape and scrapbooking paper to create a trim that would self-adhere to the paper crown.

The tape is fabulously sticky and created a nice even trim that stayed put.

For some added sparkle I applied some of the super sticky CraftBond Glue Spots to the crowns...

... then dipped the spots in glitter.

I was really, really pleased with how well the glitter and glue spots worked together and how well they've held up! I've had very little excess glitter fall off the crowns.
AND if that's still not enough you can always use a few tiny dabs of the Elmer's Precision Embellishment Glue to add a few last finishing bits and bobs.
