I made two sets of cards this year in total, just because I like options - and this is the second set. It may be my favourite, sort of. This is an easel card, so the front cover can be tucked into a popped up band on the bottom, to hold it up when sitting on a surface. The sentiment can be written on the inside of the top of the card.

It is also A2 sized, and I cut a piece of snowflake patterned paper and adhered it to the front. It came from a coordinating pack of paper at Michaels. From plain white cardstock, I die cut the snowflake edge and glued that across the top of the patterned paper, and stamped silver snowflakes, and the message in black. I used red metallic gel pen to colour in the centre of the message, and silver to highlight parts of it.

I cut a piece from another patterned piece in the pack to fit on the bottom. I took the Happy Holidays sentiment, trimmed that out, and used that as the popped up band to hold the card front up. Wasn't happy with that part of it, should have went with my first idea - but what is done is done.

I stamped another message on the inside top, where the sentiment can be written.

I have to say that i really enjoyed making these, and the man of the house appreciated the fact that it was one the quieter crafts I have been doing lately - he did not appreciate the metal dapping and stamping that occured during Ice Road Truckers recently

Maybe I should encourage him to buy me some sand bags for Christmas.
