My daughter always brings home art works from preschool made out of other people's recyclables - mostly boxes and lids. Today however I got all excited because she has brought me the perfect Christmas tree candle mold! Will post pics once I have made the candle, but I had to share with people who would understand my joy! Smiley

LOL - that was my first thought - perfect mold for Christmas trees - though I was thinking decor when I first saw that shape.  Is it metal?

It is only cardboard, but it is 4mm thick and very sturdy so it will accept a few candle pours. Luckily she brought me another 2 home from preschool today  Smiley

You could also maybe wrap a couple layers of heavy duty aluminum foil and maybe bet some longer use out of them too.

This is what I ended up making. The cardboard held up really well. It would survive multiple pours.
I tried to upload it but it wouldn't go the right way up. See it here http://candlemakingskills.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/P10200421.jpg

I sprayed the candle with glimmer mist to give it some sparkle, as it isn't glitter I don't expect it to affect the burn of the candle
