*When sending send/receive notifications to the swap organizer, there are four juicy pieces of information that must be included about each ATC. What are they? (Scroll down in the swap info under this questionnaire to the area "Once you have sent or received a card"; the answer is in
red
.):
*
Everyone
is welcome and encouraged to join this swap! Sign-ups are open all month--YAY! PM me the above questionnaire to get started, and please wait to be accepted into the swap before making any claims.
**Please make sure you are not late or flakey in any of your other swaps.**
This is a super-uber-amazingly-stupendous swap, So Have Fun!
HOW THIS SWAP WORKS:
Claims are made throughout the month. You have two weeks from the time you make a claim to send that claim.
You can make as many (or as few, as little as 1) claims as you want throughout the month as long as you never go over your allowed amount of outstanding claims. (An outstanding claim is a card that has not been received; when that card is received your number of outstanding claims goes down leaving you open to bring it back up to 7 or 10.)
Posting pictures of received ATCs is required for this swap.
CLAIMING
1. Claims are made using the following procedure:
Person A (the swap organizer) will begin the swap by posting a list of themes in this swap thread.
Person B will choose a theme from one of A's themes and make a claim by posting his/her own list (see below for formatting of post).
Person C will make a claim on one of B's themes and post his/her own list.
Person D will make a claim on one of C's themes and post his/her own list etc...
This continues through the end of the month, when the swap organizer makes the final claim and closes out the claiming part of the swap.
2. How many claims can be made by each individual:
The number of claims each person is allowed depends on the following criteria:
*Friends of Craftster: 10 claims
*Those who aren't Friends of Craftster: 7 claims
*First time swappers (whether Friends of Craftster or not): 1 claim. Once the initial claim has been sent, and its new owner has reported it received, the first time swapper is free to make more claims, either 7 or 10 dependent on being an FOC or not.
3. How to make a claim:
A claim post should include the following information:
1. The theme you are choosing and who you’re sending it to.
2. Statistical info about your current swap claims status:
Claims = Claims currently outstanding (ie., how many not yet received by their new owners.) (This number goes down each time a claim is received, and up each time you make a claim.)
Sent = anything currently in the mail.
Received = the cards received by the people you've sent them to.
3. Your location.
4. Your personal preferences.
5. Your list of themes
SAMPLE CLAIMS POST:
Quote
I claim GenericFabulosaSwap
per for heffalumps/weasels ATC.
3 claims, 2 sent, 1 received
I live in Massachusetts, USA. I would prefer not to receive anything violent, political, or religious.
My themes are:
1) Prancing Pilgrims
2) Turkeys in Disguise
3) A Cornacopia of . . .
4) Thanksgiving Sides doing the Mamba
5) Pumpkins in Unusual Places
ONCE YOU HAVE MADE A CLAIM:
1. Send a personal message to the person you have claimed and request their address
2. You have 2 weeks to complete each card, and have it in the mail to its new owner.
ONCE YOU HAVE SENT OR RECEIVED A CARD
1. Please PM the organizer when you send or receive a card. (It's also good to notify the person you received from or are sending to.) November ATC Swap--Sent[/i] or November ATC Swap--Received (Be sure to include the month, since I generally run multiple months at a time)
3.
Be sure and include (1) the "send by" date, as well as (2) the theme and (3)who sent it to (4)whom, in each message to the ATC swap organizer, when you're referring to sent or received ATCs.
(That's four juicy pieces of important information that make my life as a swap organizer OH so easy!) Easy as pie!
For example, you could use this format:
Quote
I sent some ATCs today!
DUE DEC 16:
MeCraftsterMemberBl
oop --> YowzaSwapper (fantasmic theme)
DUE DEC 17:
MeCraftsterMemberBl
oop --> WowwieSwapper (stupendous theme)
MeCraftsterMemberBl
oop -->WooHooYeeHawSwapper 07 (yet another fascinating theme)
PLEASE REMEMBER TO INCLUDE THIS IN EVERY PM!!!
This lets the organizer easily access the swap info, so it can be updated.
POSTING PIX OF ATCs RECEIVED
It is OH so important to post pictures of the amazing cards you receive! This is the best way in the world to let it be known how special it is that you've received a wonderful treasure of someone else's creativity!
Please post pictures/scans of your received cards in the gallery (or make arrangements with your partner to do so).
FEEDBACK
Positive feedback will be given when all of the cards you sent have been received. Good communication is always cool! And be sure and post those pictures in the gallery!
ANY QUESTIONS?
If you have any questions please post them in the discussion thread or PM the organizer,
jillybeans
or
gozer
.
This thread is specifically for claims only.

I claim jillybeans for autumn.
1/0/0
I live in St. Louis, MO. I love crafting, mainly with paper but dabble in other mediums. I love the outdoors, gardening, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I prefer no curse words, nothing gory, and NO glitter. Glitter glue is okay as it doesn’t flake; our household is a glitter free space, you don’t want me to get in trouble lol.
My themes:
trees
burlesque
Dandelions
Emotions/Feelings (no word on the front, just in title on the back, kid appropriate, making a game for the kids I work with)
My bucket list vacation places, something monumental or beautiful in: 3)Africa 4)Eleuthera Island 6)Italy 7)Greece 8)England 9)Finland 10)Scotland 11)Ireland 12) Fiji
Quotes from your favorite poems by you or someone else, please credit poet at least on the back. Color, theme, pic to coordinate.
Mermaids
Miniature Scrapbook pages, ready for photo(s). Borrowed this great theme from someone else.
Your replica of a famous artwork
My family and friend birthdays etc, here are some to start: Jen 10/17, Dad 9/10, Terry 8/28, Mom 2/22, Tracy 4/7, Ali 2/10, Robert 11/24, Bud 12/9 and Mom and Dad Anniversary 2/26.

Hi! I'm 34, living in southern central Indiana. Have time to swap now, at last!
Please nothing religious or gorey. Nudity, swearing, no problem.
(I have lots of themes that say "nudey" or "sexy"--please feel free to celebrate any bodyshape, style, ethnicity, sexual preference, etc, as "sexy", in my mind, is about freedom and love, not stereotypes.
)
*
fairies
(but not Tinkerbell
)
*
pin-up girls
(doesn't matter what era)
*
fairy tales
*
cross-holiday characters
(like a Halloween nativity scene, Vampire at Christmas, Easter Bunny on Fourth of July, Cupid on President's Day)
*
big-eyed cute animals
*
sexy/nudey goddesses
*
Purple People Eater
(As in the one eyed, one horned kind)
*
scared fish
*
fantasy
(elves, fairies, etc.)
*
mini scrapbook pages
--ready to insert mini photos
A couple of examples:
*your favorite
swear word
(gasp! lol)
*Sexy
Christmas elves
*
Penguins on Holiday
(Be creative.
)
*
realistic fish
(trout, salmon)
*
nudists, naturists
*Illustrated ABCs that you
wouldn't
find in a children's book (random examples, B is for boobey, M is for micro-managing, L is for lapdance). Be creative; it's up to you!
(I already have 'A', 'C', 'D', 'R', 'S', 'T' and 'X'
)
*
Countdown to Thanksgiving
: anything fall themed (but not Halloween), with the number you choose on the face of the card. Please make sure these cards are all vertically aligned, and exactly fit the 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 size (ie., no embellishments extending beyond the edges).
Please specify number you will do.
Numbers available: 19, 24, 25, 26, 29.
(Feel free to choose this even if you've already done it for me!
)
*
people or animals wearing fruit
*Illustration of this statement:
"Oi! My head is too big for my body!"
(Okay, now I'm just getting weird for no reason! lol)
*
Cute monsters
*
Your sense of humor
(stealing this one from Oyhana.
)
*
Christmas-y
.
*
Glittery
.
*
Once upon a dark, dark night
---what you think of when you hear the phrase.
*
What's behind the door?
*
Winkyn Blinkyn and Nod
*Things with big eyes that are Oh so
incredibly cute
*your artistic interpretation of this phrase:
"Ooh, ahh, I lost my bra!"
lol
*
An ATC you wish someone would send
you
(ie., artist's choice--any theme, doesn't matter if it's on my list!--Oh, except please no gore, religion, or politics)

I claim WideEyedLife for.... well, it's so hard to chose! I'll go with "Oi! My head is too big for my body!" for right now
(1/0/0)
Hi, I'm leather and lace from Iowa. I'm addicted to ATCs (who isn't?) and I love participating in this swap! My favorite bold coors are shades of red, blue, purple, and metallics, and I'm fond of dusty rose, gray, cream, dusky blue, buckskin/sandy/toffee brown, chocolate brown and coffee brown (wow, once I get thinking about it, I like a lot of brown
) for calmer colors. I'd like you to be as free and interpretive as you'd like, but keep them tasteful, please! Happy crafting!
Please include medium used and your location of the back. I like to look through and see all the great places my cards come from!
Also, if anyone is interested, I'm working on setting up an ATC workshop in my community for 4-H kids to teach them the awesomeness of ATC collecting, I need crafters willing to make ATCs for them! More info here:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=415668.0
October 28th
(My mom’s birthday, she’s getting addicted to ATCs, she would love some as belated b-day gifts)
Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead
Black Friday
Macy’s Thanksgivng Day Parade
A Cornucopia of…
Reindeer/Caribou
Mistletoe, Evergreens, and Holly
Nativity scene
(be free with this, I would love either traditional or wacky)
Norse mythology
Things with Wings
Creatures with Green Eyes
Blue hair
(I just dyed mine
)
Headphones/Earbuds/Listening to music
Cross Country/Running
Carpe Diem
Your interpretation of these Quotes
“And though she be but little, she is fierce.”
“Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.”
Wow, this post got long...

I claim StickerChic for Robin Hood
(2/0/0)

October 28th
(My mom’s birthday, she’s getting addicted to ATCs, she would love some as belated b-day gifts)
Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead
Black Friday
Macy’s Thanksgivng Day Parade
A Cornucopia of…
Reindeer/Caribou
Mistletoe, Evergreens, and Holly
Nativity scene
(be free with this, I would love either traditional or wacky)
Norse mythology
Things with Wings
Creatures with Green Eyes
Blue hair
(I just dyed mine
)
Headphones/Earbuds/Listening to music
Cross Country/Running
Carpe Diem
Your interpretation of these Quotes
“And though she be but little, she is fierce.”
“Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.”
