EDITED TO ADD: DOH! Somehow I missed the KniftyKnitter thread at the top!   Roll Eyes AWESOME! So many patterns!

For a couple of years now, Ive wanted to learn to knit( or crochet). Not knowing anyone in person who does. I bought some supplies and spent days watching videos online. The only thing I could make was one big long chain, LOL! So, I gave up.

Until last week! I bought a "Knifty Knitter" and made a hat in about an hour! I was tickled pink! Finally,I could make all those cute hats and animals that made me want to knit!

Ive found several free patterns online to make some new projects.I love animal hats, and making things I can use in photography(amateur). Any free pattern links would be appreciated!

I would still like to knit the regular way! But I don't think there's any hope!

I'm learning about yarns and starting a stash. Im also going to get the long loom and try it, its the circular ones I have. Does anyone have any tips on buying yarn, using looms, etc for a newbie?

PS. This is my first post on here. I couldn't find an introductions thread, did I miss something? I also do quilting, sewing, papercrafts, scrapbooking, atcs, etc. This site is perfect for me because it has it all! Been lurking for a long time, and wish I had joined a long time ago!
