One of my good friends has a baby shower coming up this weekend, and keeping with tradition I decided to make her a baby blanket. She told me she was doing a nature theme with the nursery with pinks, browns, and greens and other more natural colors so I got inspired to make a nice flowery baby blanket for her. The blanket is of my own design for the most part. I used the lacy interrupted v stitch for the majority of the blanket. The edging is just sc and then I made up some cute little flowers to sew on. I couldn't figure out what else to get her to go with the blanket, so I also made up a cute little pair of booties. I got the pattern for the booties on ravelry. It is available here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/crochet-wrap-around-button-baby-boots--girls-and-boys. They worked up very quickly and I love the way they turned out. There is also a version available without the ruffles for boys. I think the booties and blanket ended up looking great together! Let me know what you guys think!

They are very sweet, and a great combination of colours.
