It's massive!  And beautiful!

I saw the first pic and hadn't read the text, and expected it to be sort of knee-rug sized... then I saw the shot of it on the king sized bed and I think something in my brain may have gone 'ping'.  Wow.

This circle pattern is great for large prints.

Also, I tried a new detail- a strip of brown ribbon around the inner black border.

I was worried about it puckering or shrinking unevenly, so first I finished all of the quilting and washed and dried the quilt. I didn't prewash any of the fabric. I wanted it to do all of the shrinking it was going to do before I added the ribbon.

It is a little puckered but not bad. I am thinking of adding some more narrow ribbon to the other side of the black border and along the binding. I really like the texture and shine.
