When we moved into our home 17 years ago, our neighbors little girl was seven.  She is now married with a baby arriving soon.  It's a little boy and of course they are so excited and having fun decorating the nursery.  Their theme is whales, so I decided to make a little quilt with whales she can use in the stroller.  It is also the perfect size for the car seat.  It's my own design I made with fabrics from JoAnn's.  I really love the way it turned out.  It is hand quilted and I really do love the waves I sewed around the whales.

Nicely done!  Your hand quilting is fabulous...those waves are a nice personal touch on this quilt.

Wow! Your design is very simple, but the fabric choices are exactly right and your hand sewing is great. Everything about this quilt just fits. I'm sure the new mother will be very happy with it, and it'll probably be little Kaden's favourite blanket for a long time.
