Long ago, I saw some faux fur at Joann that just screamed to be made into a lamb costume, and made a lamby hat for a friend's baby shower. I had my first baby on September 1st, and several months ago I decided to make him a lamb costume for Halloween with the same fabric. I actually made this outfit in July, since I knew that I wasn't going to get much done this month! I used Simplicity 5720 for the romper pattern, and added a hat and booties (I called them "baby mukluks" because that's what they look like). I made the romper in 3 month size, which is just a little big on my quickly growing boy. I really like the pattern because it zips up the front, plus has snap tape all along the legs/crotch for easy diaper changes. We're probably not going out on Halloween, and I took pictures today because I thought it might take a few tries to get good shots. Luckily it worked out! He hates having hats put on, but once daddy calmed him down he seemed to forget about it. This faux fur is so soft and cuddly, and he kind of pet himself when we first the outfit on!

My favorite part of this outfit is the adorable tail!
