I've made these mittens six times now...but this is the first pair that I get to keep for myself! My cousin bought me some beautiful blue mohair yarn and I didn't know what to make with it for the longest time...and then it dawned on me that I hadn't made any of these mittens for myself and it would be the perfect yarn for this project! So, they're mohair, acrylic, and angora...quite the mix, i know. But I just love them!

They're from Crochet Today...last year's Christmas issue. They're call 'My Best Friend's Mittens'.

Love 'em, the yarn and the pattern!  And it's great that you finally get to keep a pair!  I'm so jealous of people who can crochet.  My only completed project is a sash for a robe!  Literally... 4" x 6'.  But I finished it Wink

lol! Well at least you finished it, right??

And I swear to you...start youtubing and reading and you'll pick up the ins and outs of crochet REALLY fast. I was a knitter for many years before I started to crochet and once I started to crochet, I really haven't looked back Cheesy

They look great. I have made a few pairs of those mittens too. They make great teacher gifts, and other people gifts which it sounds like you already know.
