I had a card from the PO in my mailbox when I got home - its registered mail, so gotta go pick it up and sign for it.  Hubs will do that for me tomorrow on his way home from work (PO is closed when I get off)............It doesn't say who the sender is, so it could be wall art!!!!!!!!

Oh goodness! How fun are those balloons?!  I agree with Robin. The stitched paper on felt is a pretty genius technique. Must save for future crafty techniques

I am just loving checking in on this gallery. I am getting inspired looking at everyone's different techniques.

Also, I thought I could maybe answer this ^
For fabricfriend, I went with her "shabby chic" and houses theme. She said her favorite colors were cream, pink, white, beige, robin's egg blue and pale yellow so I tried to stay with those lighter shades. AND THEN, I actually was browsing about her pinterest for "pinspiration" and I came across some flowers made with paper sewn to felt. I thought it was a lovely idea and immediately my piece came together after coming across that.

Robinpich picked my tree theme (building up a vertible forest of trees now - and love them all) - this one is a very welcome addition to the family.....






the technquie she used is on this blog - makeanddogirl.com - which she very kindly supplied me with, think I may have to have a go at it myself.  It has a lovely textural feel to it and not sure how to photgraph it to show properly - but the paint over the top is in heart shapes.

It's LOVELY - thank you so much, this has been an absolutely marvellous swap and despite getting so stressed out in November I have really enjoyed it and will sign up for round two when it comes.

scarlet, I'm glad you like it.  I'll try to give a small tutorial:

I found an already painted on canvas at a yard sale (very tacky heart art, hehee).  I found this tutorial online and thought, hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, wonder how this will turn out.
So, I cut a tree shape from plastic (just some plastic insert packaging material I had stashed away), then I used bird stickers and adhered to the plastic tree cut out (almost as a stencil, but in reverse).  I then used double stick tape for the tree/bird collage and stuck to said "tacky heart art".  I used all different fonts of letters stickers (from scrapbooking) to spell out the words.  Stick those in a pleasing, planned out way (my way is just random, hahaha!), once everything is stuck down really good, I used white spray paint to spray over the whole thing.  Use light coats and let it dry good (overnight).  Then peel away any stickers etc.
