Well I'm so sorry I've been so quiet! It's been a craaaaazy month for me. Lots of work, Christmas crafting, crafting for sales, and a work trip to Vegas. My head is spinning! But I have around 3 breaths right now, so I will try and fit it everything in!

Firstly, I am totally blown away by all the beautiful art. You've all got mad skillz!!! Everything is so different and so awesome all at the same time. It makes me so happy to see so much creativity. I looooooove me some craftster!

I'm glad that WingsofClay loves her painting. That warms my heart! I had started off on a completely different path for her painting and I wasn't liking it so I totally painted over the whole canvas and started over. Glad I did. Seems to have struck a chord!

As for my other partner, sadly, her painting got damaged en route, but that's okay. I will be popping another one in the mail shortly! I have just the piece! So fret not, Thriftyliving4u!

Thanks for a lot of fun! And once again, sorry I was so quiet. It's not like me. I just don't know whether I'm coming or going these days!!

the swirly painting is a mixture of several different techniques. i took an on line workshop through strathmore last year taught by traci bautista-doodles unleashed. it uses stencil, stamps, paint, markers, ink and oil pastels. fun to make.

It's a shadow box! I've never had one before. It's kind of hard to get a good photo of, but there are little leaves inside. Cute!

 I am glad you like it Alexampersandra! I got yours but then my camera battery died at work (The camera her is eh so I use mine) then when I got home and charged it I realized I left the SD card on my desk.    I will post your art up tomorrow. I do love it, It is going to go on the wall in the hallway. I want to fill it up with .... I will tell everyone once they see it. 
 Here is a clearer picture of the shadow box and yes, it was hard to photograph! Hence the flash. LOL! Oh, and if you shake it then it will sort of make a leaf globe.

Okay, how GENIUS are the zentangle mushrooms?!  GEEEENNIIIUUUSSSSSS S!!!! And the variegated brown background makes me feel like I'm diving into molasses or coffee So pretty.

Thanks,  The background was using the credit card scraping technique.  I squirted several squiggly lines of 2 different colors of acrylic paint and then used an old store rewards card and scraped the paint around. Then I squirted a 3rd color on top of that and scraped around. I had a lot of fun making it.
