New to this forum, hope someone can help.  I would like to use 5-10 vintage brooches and or earrings to make a single pendant for necklace, and I can't figure out what material to use for the backing.  Thanks!

Without seeing the brooches/pendants I would say possibly use jump rings to connect them if the are of a similar theme.  Can they be broken down into more manageable pieces or do you want to keep them whole?

What kind of look are you going for - do you have an example?  There are many ways of doing it, but if you gave us an idea of what you want specifically, that would help.  You could just simply glue things, you could solder them onto metal backing, you could cold connect, you could set them in resin, you could set them in 2 part resin clay, or polymer clay.  We could direct better if we knew you were thinking of specifically.

I've seen a lot of people either glue or stitch old jewelry to a felt backing to create a statement necklace, like this.
