ok, so I only have my cellphone at the moment because, since our house move, I can't find my camera cable. oh well.

I saw Tardis blue cheap yarn at my local yarn store, an I'd seen Tardis socks on ravelry so the two had to be combined!!!

they came out huge, which is good as they're for my sister's xmas present and she has UK size 9 feet. I swear she needs clown shoes.

so, once I'd finished them... (no mean feat as I suffer from arthritis in my hands, I'm 30. I feel too young for this problem!) I looked online for some slipper sock goop I once found by accident on ebay.

the base of the socks have a fez on one, and a bowtie on the other. one says "hello sweetie" and the other says "come along pond". both have a swirl at the heel, like the tunnel the tardis is flying through in the opening credits of each episode of dr who.

one last thing though, and this is somewhat of a tip... if you choose to use the slipper sock goop, make it in a well ventilated room. it smells like a mixture of ammonia and rotten fish. and the smell doesn't dissipate until it dries!!! an you will need at least two coats. one to soak into the fibres, one to lay on top of the first layer.

I love doctor who themed knitting,  I have no where close to enough skills to pull it off my self though.  I also had no clue there was a "goop" that could make socks into slipper socks.
