I always make my boyfriend some form of advent calendar to countdown the days to Christmas - before I've put little themed gifts etc in, but he is one of these who doesn't like having little knick knacks about the place (sad face - I'm all about the knick knacks and little toys) but he does love when I draw/write little notes.

Whitter whitter ... I was thinking of doing a countdown of little notes to him where the numbers mean something, e.g. 8 would be that we first kissed at 8 o'clock.  But dammit if this isn't hard to think of - now I'm all "1 is for ... Er, I have one heart to love you??".   Any help based loosely around that would be ace Wink little generic things, that I, with limited stick man drawing ability, would be able to doodle up Cheesy

Thanks in advance!

And I don't mind them being silly ... I wish I was an octopus so I could hug you 4 times as much.  Ehhhh  Kiss

well, 24, 12 and 7 could be hours, months and weeks... Something. I guess it's those high teen numbers that are tricky. Maybe one for how old you were when you met, if that applies? Err... I'll come back if I think of something, this requires some brain work.

I didn't think of the hours/days etc, that's a really great idea, thank you Smiley

This isn't an idea for sayings involving number, but it does apply to your advent calendar! Have you seen the "52 Reasons I Love You" Card books made from playing cards? Like this one: http://coopcrafts.com/2011/06/22/52-reasons-i-love-him/

You could adapt this idea for your advent calendar. Instead of doing "52 Reasons" The cover could say "Christmas 2012" or "Advent Calendar 2012". Then each day as part of his advent calendar, he would get two cards; one with the saying and one with a drawing/doodle representing that saying. (So the first day could say "I love have ONE heart to love you with" then the picture could be a heart).

At the end of the month, he would have a cool little book. It would also be a great way to keep all of the little notes in one place and be a cute keepsake.
