For my Back to Hogwarts swap partner, I wanted to create a Gryffindor item that didn't scream GRYFFINDOR and an aged, passed down (or treasure you stumbled upon in a second-hand shop in Diagon Alley) look.  So I picked up one of those plain boxes at the craft store, and I beat, stained, battered, painted, sanded, oiled, rubbed with ash, and much more to create this aged look.  It was fun to make, and I was rather happy with the results. Grin  (Also, I figured that since I was sending a jewelry box that I should fill it with jewelry. Wink)

And because I took a bunch of pics, I reducioed them; click small pics to activate engorio charm.*

*yes, I'm one of those HP crafters! Cool

Thanks for peeking! Grin

This is so lovely!! I really like that the design is subtle. It seems like something that a Gryffindor student would actually have in their room Smiley. Well done!!

I love the subtlety of this, not in your face HP, but you know what it references all the same.  Love that you filled it up with jewelery for your partner.

Absolutely awesome, pinkleo! I love how it's minimalist in nature. Very pretty!
