Retro and autumnal macaroon coin purses plus a candy corn pyramid purse!

Okay, it's official: I LOVE making these little coin purses!

I posted my first ones here. I usually get bored after making 2 or 3 of anything but that hasn't happened with these yet. Here're a couple more:


A tiny pumpkin! I painted the zipper pull with green nail polish so it looked a little like a leaf.


A retro atomic themed one! An added bonus to making these is that I get to practice embroidery without committing to a big project (the coin purses are only about 1.5" across).

In other crafty news I found this tutorial on the same site as the one I used for the macaroon coin purses. It looked fun and I had an idea so I made...

a candy corn pyramid coin purse! This is a lot bigger than the macaroons. I'd almost classify it as a clutch. The sun was going down when I took this pic so it doesn't show the colors the best. The yellow especially is more golden in real life.

Oh yes, those tiny macaroon coin purses are on my should-make-that-one-day-list! They are so fun! Never made one, should really do that though.

Anyway, I love the little pumpkin version you made! Very Halloweenish! So is the candy corn purse, fun and cute!

@Forteisbest and other interested parties: I didn't think I'd use my pumpkin myself, but I've found it's the perfect size to carry a few mints and an extra hair elastic or 2. It's also come in handy to hold a necklace that broke when I was out and about and add some interest to its home: clipped on my purse strap. It could also hold a ring! I hope this review is helpful.
