Knitting projects: baby mittens, apron and adult mittens

I've been knitting up a storm getting ready for my baby (due in Feb and still so many projects to finish!) And also took out time for bday presents for my mom and sis.
These are the fingerless mittens for baby:


I made an apron for my mom. This took FOREVER! Don't do seed stitch unless you've got a LOT of patience and TIME! I do like how it came out, though...


And a close-up on the pocket. It's a bit short, this was literally the last inches of this yarn, tying all the tails together~


And my sis asked for some mittens for her bday. I like how simple this pattern is but it looks cool.

the purple mitts are beautiful! i have to get up the nerve to try mittens --i can do socks so that's next! and i agree about seed stitch! it looks great but when i do it, i really think i'm going soooo slowly. it starts out a good idea and takes forever....

Beautiful work!  How did you keep the apron from stretching?  I tried knitting an apron and couldn't stop the ties from stretching to save my life.
