live fast, die knitting

Hi all! After a long hiatus I finally picked up knitting again, frogging a danica scarf (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter05/PATTdanica.html) in favor of this beaty (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter08/PATTgwynedd.php). Problem is, I'm using a yarn that was gifted to me and I can tell I'm going to need more. However, I can't find the yarn anywhere online, nor can I find any information about the brand - it seems to be out of business?

It's Georges Picaud Super Palace merino blend. I'm pretty certain finding more of it will be impossible but could anyone give me some tips on what exactly Georges Picaud is, or anywhere that I might look to buy vintage/rare/discontinued yarns?

Thanks for your help!
