So last week I became the proud owner of a Big Shot diecutting machine (I am hooked Smiley). Yesterday I decided to make a few Halloween-themed cabinet cards. I used the Tim Holtz alterations cabinet card-die for the cards background (my favourite die so far!), and several Tim Holtz Halloween-themed dies plus a sizzlit swirl-die that came with my machine. Instead of gluing the die cuts on the cards I decided to paint around them with silver acrylic paint and then removing them, for a silhouette-effect. I then inked the edges of the cards. I will send a few of these out to friends, the rest I will display in my house.

I think they are great. My favorite one is the crow. Inking the edges really sets them off and I like how you used the paint. I use my dies a lot when making cards.
