Quilt Block Swap - Round 2 Gallery

Yeah all the blocks I got I am using in my 15yr old daughter's quilt. It shall be interesting LOL.

She will help with the layout once I am done with the last four blocks. I am going to try some of the other blocks picked that were not one's I have done and see how that goes.

The one's I just finished were from the ones I sent out that were requested from my group. Now I am going to try it looks like the following

mod mosaic

Since I am trying to destash am hoping to make theget blocks from what I have. I know I will have to go out and batting and backing.

I made extra blocks using the fabrics that I sent to each swapper...but for donniesgirl's block, I did not want to use the Chrismas fabrics...luckily, sloth sent me an extra!

My quilt will be the same wonky long cabin, just in a zillion colors!  It will be for me since I love that scrappy look...

Can't wait to see your daughter's quilt...it will indeed be very very interesting!

I laid out most of my blocks this week.  They are amazing.  I decided I need some more.  I am hoping I can get some folks to do some small personal swaps for some machine embroidery (badges, quilt labels) to make a completely swap blocked quilt.  These blocks deserve to be on a big bold quilt!

Here are all my blocks laid out together.  I'm so happy with how great they all look!  Not sure when I'll actually get them made into a quilt but I will someday    The last Craftster quilt I made went to a good friend's daughter when she had her first son and she loved the idea behind it and I'm hoping that whomever this one goes to appreciates it the same.

            

P.S.  Hey, I just had a thought........one son is married and the other has promise ring on his girlfriends finger......hmmm... ..grandchildren someday, maybe I'll make this and keep it for when they come to visit grandma's house.  I know for sure that I appreciate the idea.

It looks so colorful and interesting because of the shapes...I really liked this block...I saved the pattern for a future quilt...I know you will do a nice job making it up!

Woo hoo - thanks everyone for a great flake-free swap!  Everyone has received & should have gotten feedback, but please post pics when you have your quilts together.

Last night, I started organizing my squares & realized that I do not have quite enough for the size quilt I want.  Doh!  I could probably make a lap quilt with a border, but either I'm gonna have to do another round, or bust out my fabric stash.
