lol, where I live, the mail person would be hard-pressed to leave a package in the car because we lock our cars. In fact, the thought of leaving your car unlocked is weirder than leaving your house unlocked.

That said, we never leave our house unlocked, either. 

Man, I can't believe leaving our cars unlocked either!  My hubby's car was stolen from our apartment complex last winter.  We did recover it all in one piece, and he now has a club on it.  (As a matter of fact, my car has been stolen once, as well).  Stuff has been stolen out of our cars numerous times, and sometimes locks don't deter them, because we've also had to replace windows.  Its weird, because I don't think of Spokane as being unsafe at all, just a little desperate.  Or, a lot desperate.  And meth filled.  ^_^

Oh and we have to lock the apartment, even when we are there, because we've had random people walk into our apartment a few times, getting it confused with someone else's apartment.  So, yeah, locking all the way here!  lol!  ^_^

It seems to be the season for leaving packages in an odd way- I received my package from gala_apples and it was left sitting in the hallway...  I live in an apartment building where the front door is never locked, so I'm relieved I have nice neighbors who didn't try to steal it AND that the silly postal person didn't try to squish it and stuff it in my mailbox

We are pretty fortunate to live in a very small town (900 people) with low crime and about an hour away from a city. And since we moved from a city, we've lost the habit of locking our cars, which is not really a good thing......but I'm grateful that you can forget something like that around here and not have it cost you your insurance premium or worse.

Waiting for PhizzyChick to receive her package I feel like a kid on a 12-hour car trip - IS IT THERE YET? I'm starting to freak out a bit. What if the wretched post office lost it? I will seriously cry.

I hope that's not the case! This time of year the post office is so slooooow, especially if it's an international send.

I agree rackycoo- tapestrymlp don't worry -packages seem to be stuck in limbo forever right now.. The package for gala_apples has been "in transit" for 12 days now, but it still shows up in the tracking program.. I am sure both of the packages we sent will be there before Xmas!

Because it's going overseas I don't have any way to track the package alas. I think I'd feel a little better if I could check a shipping status daily. *fingers crossed* I hope the package gets there tomorrow! Tomorrow is two weeks to the day since I shipped it. Come on postal people, stop torturing me!

Also, did you guys see that two of the items from this swap made it into the featured projects this go round? The Ho Ho Ho birds and Phizzy's tree skirt! Best swap ever
