I'm awful for the kid talk.  My kids all had speech impediments, but some things they would be would be soooo cute that I just couldn't correct them, that became the new word, like nocoyico for motorcycle.  I used to get in so much trouble from their speach therapist for not correcting them!!! hahaha

My sister used to say: sta airs, for stairs, and my brother called bananas, blananas.  My boys used to call my dad grandpapa.  Now, they just call him grandpa.  And, at one time, my parents were friends w/people who had a daughter that went to a speech therapist.  I only visited them once.  I was older than their daughter, and would gently correct her speech.  The girl's dad came over to our house the next day, and had an angry discussion w/my mother.  He told my mom, that I ruined years of his daughter's speech therapy by correcting her.  My mother made me stand before him, and apologize to him.  I didn't really understand what I was apologizing for, but, I did it, because I was told to do so.  My oldest son was in speech therapy, because he spoke a hundred miles an hour.  I was always able to understand him.  Now, I miss most of what is said to me, because I don't hear that well.  My husband always just says I'm not listening or paying attention.

Ethan says blanana!!!  heehee, All my kids call my dad BumBum.  hahaha.  It started when the twins were about 18 months old, they just started calling him that, don't know why, but its stuck to this day and now they all call him that.  I don't understand why correcting her would have ruined speech therapy??  And maybe sometimes its good to not hear everything, just nod politely  Wink

That's a great package!  I love that birch tree painting, it looks like you could start wandering up that hill into the sun.  Smiley  Adorable bird hoop too!

Those hoops are great, I love the natural colored background fabric. Is it linen?

Its actually t-shirt material! Backed with a firmer fabric but still very hard to embroider through! But the colour was so perfect I had to use it!

I received last week from the wonderfully talented and uber generous J_Kieviet!

She claimed me for these wonderful felt piggy banks for my daughter and her 11 classmates!  They are quite thick since she sewed them with a double thickness of felt which should withstand the kids tugging on them as they try to get their coins in and out of the slot!  Smiley

Then she spoiled me and Lana with matching pj bottoms!  I can't tell you how much we love them!  Lana and I love to wear matchy-matchy when we can and these are perfect, warm, and very soft!!  The fabric is so cute and perfect for the holidays: skating bears, penguins, snowmen, and birdies!  Smiley

She also sent some wonderful crafts for Lana as well as some crafts for the charity that my daughter and I craft for: The NIH Children's Inn Thoughtful Treasures program!

For Lana: a fun house to build and decorate, Winnie the Pooh Xstitch, and an angel X-stitch!  These are the perfect size for Lana to try her hand at Xstitching!!

Tons of foam crafts to make for the kids for the holidays!  Smiley

Thank you J_Kieviet for our lovely package!  We're snuggled up in our pjs tonight thinking of you!!  Smiley
