My partner in the back to Hogwarts swap really liked the Harry Potter store Dogweed and Deathcap, and I've been loving all the little miniature stores I've been seeing on here and pinterest so thought I'd try my hand at one.  This is the result.
Dogweed and Deathcap is the seller of the plants mostly, so I researched the plants that are from the series and mostly just had fun with it.  It has all kinds of little items.  I like it because you keep seeing things hidden in the shelves.

It started out with a bead container I found at the local thrift store.  Tried putting some of the objects in just to make sure I was on the right track.  Then got stained and painted.  This is a second color actually, tried a green first and didn't like it against the stain. Painted the letters in a golden paint.

Then just went crazy with details.  The plants are polymer clay with a black wash painted over them.  Lots of little bottles with herbs or plastic pieces or polymer clay or whatever I could find around.  Gloves cut from fake leather strips.  Textbooks, spiders, pot of fire, scrolls, crystals, rocks, even an arrowhead.  Too much to list!  My 8 year old even made a piece for me, the snitch!

Size compared to my hand

I'm so glad my partner loves it, because I sure did!  I had to show that piece off to anyone who walked through the door for a week!
Thanks for looking Cheesy
