ive been aching to try out Bettina Welker's pixel cane for weeks Smiley
this was my first attempt. i think it works better on a larger surface area (that'll teach me to be lazy and use what i have instead of making a batch of bigger armatures...) but im still happy with this Smiley
if you havnt come across Bettina's technique before i recommend it. its simple and perfect for beginners too as all you need is a clay extruder her tutorial is here: http://www.beadworx.de/2012/07/03/the-pixelated-retro-blend-cane/

like most clay artists i dont like to waste clay. i used left overs from the pixel cane to create a couple of stropple cane bangles (click here for the stropple cane tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y07zXuLZe20) . scrap clay forms the core of the bangles and the only fresh clay i used was to create these was the fushia.

as always comments are more than welcome. if you have any questions or if something is unclear please ask Smiley

The striped bangles are as beautiful as the cane one.
