Amazing, fantastic, brilliant, excellently well done -- love, love, love it!  The lights, character tableau, sign, posters, and even the little window on the side are great touches of detail.

Looks like the main part of the stand is wood (balsa, maybe?) and the top with paper...?

I would definitely invest in one of these babies!

My husband has been saying "There's Always Money in the Banana Stand" for the past week.

This is AWESOME.  If I didn't already have two projects for him to finish by next Tuesday (our anniversary) I'd so be stealing borrowing this idea.

I love it.  It looks great and I love the extra joke about the money being in the banana stand.

Yeah the sides are balsa. The top has a balsa base, to fit nicely with the rest of banana. Above that is a cardboard frame (filled in with sculpy for weight and to get the correct shape), covered with heavy paper, and painted. The signage is stuff I pulled from the internet (mostly screencaps of the show) and otherwise cleaned up and fit to size. I found out it's super easy to just upload the pictures to Walgreens and they're professionally printed out on photo paper in about an hour. The lights were harvested from a Christmas necklace.
