Don't be afraid, children, I don't think that little mummy thingy is alive...

I received this very awesome mummy ninni monster from Bunnie Boo in the Halloween Ninni swap.  I love it so much I decided to use it as the main feature of a Halloween wreath for my front door, so everyone can see it and enjoy it!

I made a quick run to JoAnn's to get what I needed, and all the Halloween things were on sale, so I only spent $13 there!  I had hoped to find a black wreath, but there were none to be found, so I bought this wire wreath frame instead.  I also got some Martha Stewart bat cut-outs, a yard and a half of a thin, stretchy, sparkly, black fabric, and a package of "spider webs" with plastic spiders.  (The package of cheesecloth, in the center of the picture below, came from my local grocery store; I already had it on hand.)

First I wrapped the wreath frame in quilt batting that I cut into strips (I already had that on hand too.)

Then I cut the fabric in half lengthwise, and wrapped it loosely over the batting.

After sewing the mummy to the wreath, I cut the cheesecloth into strips and wrapped it over the fabric.  I wanted it to look like the mummy's bandages were wrapped around the wreath.  Then it was just a simple matter of arranging the bats, spiderwebs and spiders.

Bring on the trick-or-treaters!
