Hey Fellow Halloween-ies!

If you're like me, you love campy old horror films. I am really into making polymer clay masks lately, and I made THIS one out of the excitement of gearing up for Halloween!!! I make my masks from polymer clay as a vegan alternative to leather--usually I do dramatic fantasy-type stuff, but this was more a pop art kitsch project for me!

Thanks for looking! Happy halloween!

So cute and instantly recognizable. Loving the colors you've used, too. So very kitsch.

You should give her big bristly top lashes Cheesy

thanks!!! yeah, i thought of adding lashes too! might even build on the lashes out of clay so that they would be 3-D rather than just painting them on, but YES!

I agree, the lashes would be amazing! Even just using some costume lashes would make it *zing!*
Is it glow in the dark or is it just the color of the clay? Every time I see that color I automatically assume it is GitD.
Very well done.

actually, NOT glow in the dark---but the color does appear that way. it is Sculpey Premo! Pistachio clay, so it just kinda looks like that Smiley

awww...thanks...ur sweet comment has made MY friday nite! Smiley
yes, u should start working with polymer clay--it is very versatile and easy to use! getting the knack of it takes a while, but there are great sites and books out there. even tho this book is old, I would recommend "The New Clay" by Nan Roche as a great starting point...
