Harley Quinn Infinity Dress

I made this for a friend I made online. I've only made one infinity dress before this one, I didn't have enough fabric the first time, the skirt and straps were too short, the waist was too big, and the fabric was too thick/didn't have the right stretch.  It was a trainwreck.  This one is beautiful (in my biased opinion). 

For this dress I only got 2 meters of each colour fabric, and did a 26" long dual-coloured circle skirt, 3" waistband and straps, I checkered the waistband/straps and the skirt.  I ended up having to put a seam in the middle of the straps (along the width) so that they were long enough, I sewed that with a stretch stitch, and sewed it down with a twin needle so it would lay flat, and not take a way from the stretch.

I only took photos of one of the wrap styles, because I didn't want to play with it too much and not give it away.  None of it was hemmed, but I did sew it with my new serger (a Janome 1100D - my new best friend).  I'm shipping it to her tonight, so when I get action shots I will be posting them as well (with her permission of course)

I didn't use a pattern for this actually.  I made a circle skirt pattern (half a circle for each colour) and then one long strip for each colour for the straps, and the waistband is a rectangle about 3" wide (and folded in half) by the waist measurement (minus 3 inches)
