I'm really starting to love knitting lace, it keeps me engaged and interested in the project and well it just ends up looking pretty and far more complicated that it was to make. So my latest endeavor was a project from Ravelry, the Foreign Correspondent's Scarf: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/foreign-correspondents-scarf

I did mess up in two different spots, but I'm pretty happy with the overall results, even making another longer one eventually as I ran out of yarn for this one.

It looks very good. Is it in cotton yarn?

your scarf looks great!! i've been wanting to try lace --and i looked at this pattern. i can "do" it all, but don't understand why the stitch markers are used? are all the "M' in the second and third row, just mean you get to a marker?? what are they there for? ---and if the pattern repeats, do you just place the marker where it is, when you come to it in subsequent rows???
thank you for answering stupid questions Cheesy
