^^^^^^^TEASER IMAGE^^^^^^^^^

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since I made a post. But I have had lots of that crazy "life" stuff going on. I was featured as a RAW artist locally twice since my last post on here and it was a blast. (And now they are holding votes for RAW artists of the year so wish me luck!) And I have a couple other big events where my work will be featured soon as well as a magazine article. Anyway, with all that aside, we've had some hardships too. My dad and his wife lost their home to wild fires a couple months ago and it has been heart wrenching for all of us. Needless to say, I haven't had the time or the mind set to craft until the past couple of weeks. So I cranked a bunch out and am now hoping that you all love it all. I'm a glutton for attention so comment and critique all you like!

I've been trying to make my cupcakes look more realistic as of late and these guys are fairly small (3-4 can fit on a quarter) and I feel somewhat accomplished with them. I still think I can take it to the next level soon. Working on some new bases and techniques.

Then there is my new fortune cookie necklaces. My old ones were plain without texturing and a blank ribbon of paper. These feature an adorable heart on the paper.

And then there are the cookies with chocolate coated candies aka m&ms!

And I kind of went crazy on pizza earrings. I did two varieties (for now!)
The first ones are good old fashioned pepperoni and black olive...

Then there is the meat lovers...

And a pizza necklace...

Also some 1 1/2" custom requested plugs for gauged ears with pizzas on them.

And while we are on the subject of plugs...

Apple pies

More pizza (albeit much more simple style)

Cookies

Simple Donuts

And what goes well with donuts?

And fruit salads...

Speaking of fruit, we have pears:

and we need some veggies too:

and for those of you who can't eat broccoli plain:

If you finish your vegetables, you can have some chocolate.

^^^^Those were fun to make by the way. I bought some kit kats and took bites of them and then froze the leftovers to make molds. Then I layered my chocolate along with my wafer innards (yes innards- I'm from Oklahoma) and more chocolate colored clay.

And my personal new favorite is my rock candy necklace. I hope to make them in different colors soon.

What can I say?  These are all amazing.  I love the Kit Kats and the broccoli.  I adore the little pizza slices that go together to make a pizza. I want a bite of the cookies and the apple pie. Your work is all so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

Haha, I absolutely love broccoli. It's my favorite veggie!

Thanks so much. I was really proud with how the filling came out.

Thank you. A lot of my friends had been telling me that I should do them for a while but polymer clay can be very dangerous for plugs so finally someone suggested that I do stainless steel plugs with poly clay sculpts on them. I was so thrilled with the idea so I made a ton of them! lol

Haha don't feel bad about saying "innards", I'm in Tulsa and I too enjoy saying it. I'm pretty sure my favorite is the rock candy, especially since it has the stick too!

I wish I could take credit for those. They are actually dollhouse miniature ceramic cups and plates. I just added the liquid polymer clay fillings.

This is all so cute! Your patience must be Zen-like to create such realistic detail. And those plugs are so unique.

But as an aside... there are some dangers to wearing realistic food-jewelry  Grin My friend wore some earrings that look like gummy candy to a party and drunk people kept trying to eat them. It was quite bizarre. Now she only wears them around sober people who can appreciate them without touching them.

What can i say? These are totally beautiful and so realistic.
Yes...my mouth was watering when i saw these... Quickly went to fetch a kitkat to eat.
I stared at the kitkat for a while, looked too real, and when you said you froze the kitkat, i assumed you used real ones you froze then glazed to make the pendants. (Before i read the whole sentence Tongue)

lol, that would be gross if I made earrings that I had eaten a part of first!

Ahh! Thanks so much! I will probably put up some more in a couple weeks. I agree that the texture is one of the most important things for realism for me.

Ahhh! Thanks so much! I started in 2009 but my style and skill has really evolved a lot over that time and I only have really had the time to intensely pursue my miniature art over the last year. And even in that time, I haven't had all the time I want but as long as I can always grow that's alright! Here's a pic to show you...

I actually haven't made any tutorials for my miniature work. So you may have seen tutorials for similar things as the miniature crafting world sometimes repeats itself.
