Our time traveller's tour of Bath was in honour of the birthday of one of our members. SO I thought it appropriate to give a gift typical of my period: another reticule.

This one was sewn and came from the tutorial http://s269.photobucket.com/albums/jj42/DawnLuck/Retucule%20Pattern/?start=all

The feature panel is from a curtain sample pack (it does have an orange cast to it in the right light), the others are from an old shirt of my husband's which has a nice texture to it that is completely lost in the picture. The ribbons came on gifts and the orange lining is left over from a kiting project. The orange bead at the point is from a necklace that fell apart as soon as I wore it.

The pattern was easy to follow and I thoroughly enjoyed sewing it- it's a shame I shan't need to make another.

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

This is stunning. Why not make them for gifts. I'll check out the tute. This looks like something I could make.

I have a split personality, because you guys crack me up.  AND The best day I ever had was TODAY!

Very pretty. I agree they would make nice gifts - or even gift bags (for special people only Wink)

Eeeeh! That pattern is GREAT! I may have to make myself another reticule!

I love the combination of materials you used. The orange lining and bead really make it something special Cheesy
