Hey, LVers, remember the commercial I worked on a while back, where we were shooting a trek through "Mexican jungles" to a "Mayan temple"?  I saw it tonight on TV!  Looks like they're going to be doing a few different versions and lengths.  The one I saw was on during a network primetime show, so if you're in the States be on the lookout for these fun Jell-O Pudding spots over the next several days.  The full-length spot is also on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItjE3f3clQQ).  And there'll be a follow-up we also shot, which should be airing on December 22.

On a completely different note:

. . . "getting" ... a Windows 7 machine for Christmas, have to migrate everything and Vista doesn't make that easy, which is why I put it off for so long - but stories of Windows 8 terrify me!

Never used Vista, but from what I heard about it you'll probably be happier with W7.  Just got a new computer myself, replacing my 8 year old Windows XP machine.  Hated to do it 'cause I think XP is the best operating system Microsoft's ever made...but it was time.  Have been working with Windows 7 at the office job for a couple of years and, though wary, decided to go with W8.  What I've learned, and what they certainly don't show it in the advertising, is that Windows 8 is really two environments: the one with big buttons you see in all the ads AND the good old desktop.  The default at startup is to the buttons, but the desktop is only one click away.  Even better, it's easy to configure for opening right to the desktop.  Have installed my good old Office 2000 with the good old version of Word (none of this W7 ribbon nonsense I'm stuck using at work), a little piece of software I found to give me back the start button (frustratingly gone with W8), and now have an environment that's comfortable and familiar with all the advantages of a new computer.

Last Saturday (same day we went to see the lights), we also went to Epcot before we hopped over to the other park. Ihaka got a chance to see the countries he missed on our last Epcot visit this time around.

I made it through finals and am finally (mostly) unpacked from my move. The bf and I (yes, we are still together despite the fact that I moved out, it's a bit complicated) went to the new diner that they put in in our area this past weekend.



I love pancakes.



We are going out this weekend to see a movie and try a restaurant that we haven't been to. I'll be sure to take Sidney with.

Yeah, the loss of the start button is what I've heard is most frustrating.  Why did they try to force a tablet-designed OS onto desktops? They freely admit it works better with a touchscren, how many desktops have that?  Argh.

Snow here today!  Not pretty fluffy fun snow, though.  Wet, stinging, blowing (at up to 40mph) snow.  Yay, winter!  Actually, we did desperately need the precipitation, but it was weird going from a thunderstorm with occasional hail to snow.  It was like spring gave summer and fall a miss and went straight into winter. :/

Hello everyone. I am sorry i have been incognito recentley. My orchestra's have been busy preparing for their Holiday concert which is tonight. tomorrow is our last day and finally my hubby and i will have a much needed break. We can show poppy around some more then. Merry Christmas!

I also haven't been around a lot the last few weeks. School is crazy just before Christmas holliday, but now I've finally 2 weeks holliday...yaaaaaay!!!   So I'll have time again to show Giles around. Saturday I'll be going to a Christmas market in Germany with my parents, there'll be some parties and cookie baking with friends.

I love seeing all the LV's bundled up for the cold weather!  We've arrived in Wisconsin, and just in time, since there's a blizzard that is supposed to arrive today (it snowed a bit overnight, and has been raining, and just recently has turned back to snow).    Brrr!
