The pies look delicious! I think Ihaka had a blast doing some cooking  Cheesy

Giles will be coming with me to a high tea tomorrow. It's a farewell party of a friend who's moving back to Czech republic.

Sinterklaas arrives in the country (not yet in our town, that's next week) tomorrow and we'll be putting a shoe in the living room at night and hope he'll put a present in it  Wink Guess I'll have to find Gilles a little shoe as well....

FINALLY able to get a picture to upload. Las week at work, my co-workers and I decided to wrap the desk of anothe co-worker who was gone. Deer helped out. We wrapped literally EVERYTHING on her desk!

She actually got a kick out of it, and it entertained us as well!

That reminds me of the episode of the "Office", where Jim does that to Dwight!   Grin

Your wrapping paper is much prettier though.  Cheesy

Anuenue had an exciting day! More details in her blog: http://anuenueindc.blogspot.com/2012/11/alpacas-and-baltimore.html

She went to the Maryland Alpaca Festival and saw a bunch of alpacas:

She met up with a bunch of craftsters:

Then she went to the inner harbor in Baltimore and climbed up Federal Hill

And finally she toured the American Visionary Artists Museum, with lots of strange art!

Oh wow! Anuenue looks like she's having a blast! So many cool things!

Rupert got to come along to our Gamelan concert tonight...

First, we got to see some of the dancers practicing:

And then enjoy much delicious Indonesian food for our Selametan with the Javanese ensemble:

We got to listen to the Javanese Gamelan first:

Then, on to our Balinese Gamelan!

Before clean-up, we got a chance to pose with the Ugal.

As always, more pictures in my blog (linked below)!

Yesterday, Ihaka joined us in a trip over to Walt Disney World! WDW is in Orlando and there are 4 theme parks. We visited both Epcot and Magic Kingdom.

At the entrance to Epcot. They have a ton of Christmas decorations up including these cute topiaries.

This is a replica of the Victoria Gardens in the Canada Pavilion.

Ihaka is riding a dragon in a display in the UK pavilion at Epcot.

Showing off some of the beautiful kimonos you can buy in Japan.

At the entrance to Magic Kingdom. This is the Main Street Train station. They have a real working steam train that tours a circle around the park you can ride.

And this was a Christmas Tree all done up at the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. Ihaka thought it would be fun to join in with the other characters on the tree!

We had a lot of fun! Grin We'll be going back in a couple weekends to see the other parks, including the five million dancing lights (no really!) of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at the Hollywood Studios park too!

See more pictures from Saturday here: https://www.facebook.com/IhakaVisitsFlorida

It amazes me how big Disney world is and that there are more parks. Must take ages to see everything...

Yesterday Sinterklaas arrived in the country (yes he's said to arrive from Spain  Wink) and we put our shoe in the living. Next morning we found presents in our shoes and there was also something for Giles:

Inside was a little home made present

(it's an ear cuff, I've been making quite a lot of them the last few days)

We made some croissants from scratch with a traditional French recipe

they were so good... Grin

And this afternoon we took Giles to the museum of antropology

he did some relaxation and meditation in the buddha room

and smiled when he saw the picture of these Maori men
