So... car crash today. Ford f 250 smashed into the back of the car... not fun. Second crash in 6 months and again it was not my fault. Here I was hoping to not feel this pain in my body again for a long time XP I feel so damn jinxed! I am flat out REFUSING to drive right now. So all of my big weekend plans just got scratched I'm sad to say. Now I'm going to get more advil and I'm going to bed...

Good to see Ihaka so politically engaged  I wasn't able to follow the debates or the outcome of the elections (time difference, work), but heard it today when I came home.

Aw, thanks for the well wishes guys I should be fine though. It hurts the same as last time and I got over that. My bathtub and I are just going to become good friends this weekend.

I need to go to bed now, so I won't be able to update the blog until tomorrow, but here is a preview of Anuenue at one of the entrances to the White House!

Since you can't take pictures inside, I don't actually have many photos (plus, my camera is not good at night shots without a tripod). She'll be getting some daytime photos downtown next month though. And I am having vague thoughts of taking the day off on Inauguration day to go downtown, maybe.

Monday was Guy Fawkes Night (or Bonfire Night or Fireworks Night... it gets called a lot of different things), but unfortunately I wasn't able to take Po to any fireworks displays as I was working at the 2 I went to. We did however have some fun playing with sparklers in the garden at home...




(I tried to spell "Po" by writing with my sparkler, but it was really hard to take the photos with one hand while trying not to burn myself with the sparkler I was holding in the other hand!)

On Tuesday we went to Kingston-upon-Thames, where Po saw a sculpture of telephone boxes falling over in a domino effect


We also tried bubble tea (green apple flavour tea with lychee flavour bubbles, it was really tasty despite being a very bright shade of green!)


And we bought some biltong from the market.
