What lovely pumpkins you harvested!  And I think next year I am stealing your idea to make ghost costumes for all of the kids' stuffies! Cheesy  Too adorable!

Its been a slow week for me and Deere. I had my in-laws in town all weekend, so we didnt end up doing as much fun Halloween stuff as I planned. I have also been trying to figure out how to help out at my parents, who are 3 hours away, as my mom needs surgery that is going to keep her in bed for 1-3 months ( again! argh! I feel so bad for her!) and my brother making  a very last minute trip up here from Alabama for some job leads (yay!). Haven't had too many picture ops, but we DID go to a super fun masquerade party. Im hoping by the end of this weekend to get a few new pics posted! May take Deere to find some of the fall foliage around here- It turned from green to yellows and reds, then the rain took tons of leaves off the trees, all within a few days, but we may be able to find some still!

Hope Alby didn't give you too much a fright, Natasja -- but I have to say, he looks pretty cute in his ghost costume (love the heart)!

Here are some pictures from last week's Family Fair which I described in my last post.

First, cookies had to be made for our Neighborhood Association booth.  Coccinelle provided assistance in stirring up some of the Pumpkin Oatmeal cookie dough...

...and then took in the delicious aroma just after they came out of the oven:

Next day at the Fair there were llamas...

...and camels...

...and girl critters...

...oh my!

I'm still here!  A Dr. appt last week wiped me out for a few days then we had 3 halloween parties and trick or treating!  I have a one picture to share!  My son is having a blast with Albert.  He helped him make a pumpkin at the library!

Yesterday alby joined us on a visit to my Godmother (she's my father's aunt) in Bruges.
Here he is watching the pictures on her cupboard:

He almost couldn't believe that was me in the picture Cheesy
We had dinner and Alby tried the traditional Moules-frites Cheesy

In Bruges there a lots of Belgian 'Chocolateries', some of them did amazing things with chocolate like these monkeys:

there'll be some more pictures on his facebook http://www.facebook.com/AlbysTripToBelgium

I took Giles on a local tourist tour. We live next to a mill that's also a museum:

And inside a very old kitchen

Although the mill itself was used for grinding grain, this horse mill was used for gunpowder  Wink

And today we visited the Burcht (according to Wikipedia the English name is a "shell keep". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burcht_van_Leiden). It's in the middle of the city and dates from the 11th century.

On top you have a wonderful view

Oh and did you notice Giles has a new outfit? It's getting cold here so he really needed something to keep him warm  Wink

First off, I love his new outfit!! So cute.

And what a picturesque town you live in! It's so vastly different from Florida. So neat to see!
