Finally worked on a sewing project!

Seriously, this is big news for me... I know how to sew but the sewing machine and I usually don't get along. Methinks it's because I tend to treat the pedal as how I would treat the pedal of a race car on a quarter mile track (vroom) but anyways, I digress.  In an attempt to tone up my sewing skills, I'm going to start practicing on small sewing projects each month.  The first project? An early birthday present for my mom.

It's a coffee cup cozy and coaster.  Features a small leaf and some simple stitching around the edges.   Grin

Cute, huh?  I know it's nowhere near the awesome work of most of the stitchers on Craftster, but someday I hope to reach that.  <3

Also, any recommendations for easy stitching projects is greatly appreciated.   Smiley

I actually love this. I'm a novice/medium sewer and think this is awesome. Well executed.

I think it is lovely. I love your design and the applique of the leaf is very neat. Good luck with your sewing projects.

These are beautiful. The colors look great together. The leaves are adorable. I just love everything about them.
