Sounds like everything that could go wonky with a project really did!  But I didn't notice that some of the squares were different sizes or the difference in color until you pointed it out.  You did a great job melding everything together into one cohesive blanket!

Yeah, it was a nightmare.
I have leftover wool so I am making it again, just better this time round! I'll probably sell this version and keep my 'new' versoin.

I adore your colour choices.  I am an avid crocheter but I seldom make items that require assembly.  I seems that after I have finally finished all the squares, I lack the energy to sit down and put them all together into the final product so I really admire
your patience.

I joined as I went, it was easier than doing it all afterwards. I am STILL half-way through a blankie that I am joining at the ends. Probably will never get done.
I just kept the 'last round' as the green round. It was quite exciting growing the blanket with the final round. Totally worth giving a go if you haven't before
