I am planning to have a fall festival type party, NOT a Halloween, just fall festival. I need ideas for what type of things to make to decorate and what type of things to do... ideas for everything from table settings to games to decorations. This is my first time having this type of a party. It will only be for a small family gathering including my niece who is 5 and possibly (not certain yet) my other niece and nephew who are 2 and 3. I'm not sure exactly what all to do and most ideas I have come across online are for large festivals for like a church or school where there will be lots of kids/adults. I need some ideas for just a small gathering.
I was thinking a bonfire and have hot dogs to roast and smores. Other than that I'm not really sure. Maybe a small pumpkin for each kid to decorate? Then just have markers, paint, etc. for them to use to decorate it. And maybe 'goodie bags' for both kids and adults... but what to decorate them as and with? What to put in them (other than candy, of course)? There will be maybe 9 adults and 3 kids. Any and all suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks.

Note: I can not do hay rides, just not far enough out in the country and do not have anything for a means to do so with. Not enough kids to do that for anyway.

Well, the nice thing about adults is that they can occupy themselves easily.  It might be fun to have some interactive things where the adults help the kids, or set up some games that they can all play together (bean bag tosses are great for this, as is bobbing for apples).  To decorate, you can use gourds, leaves, and mums.  Oh, and hay bales if you can find them.  You could also set up a caramel apple dipping station, with different toppings (mini chocolate chips, nuts, coconut, etc.) and let people do that.
