I love these so much and they have given me a great idea to use some real family photos.  In the last two months I have lost a brother, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.  Needless to say hubby and I have dragged out every box of photos from every nook and cranny in our house.  I kept telling him that when things settled down some I was going to have to try to find some creative ways to get more of the old family shots out on display to be enjoyed every day.  This would be am amazing start.  Thank you Rackycoo for sharing.

I'm so sorry for your loss, coocoosnest. I think this would be a great way to display old family photos. They wouldn't necessarily have to be dressed up in Halloween costumes...you could find a way to show what their interests were, or highlight some aspects of their personalities. If you had several different height spools, it would make a really sweet display.
