Did everyone get the email from Friday?

I think my fabrics will be here tomorrow, so I am anxious to start cutting and doing the first step...I love not knowing what I am making...

I purchased my fabric Friday, received the e-mail and was able to get clue 1 finished.  I'll try to post a picture of my fabric later today.

Are you doing the intermediate/advanced quilt?  I purchased fabric for both, but I am going to concentrate on the intermediate/advanced...geez--you are fast!

Got my clues and I'm going to search my stash for appropriate fabrics!  I finished a "Disappearing Nine Patch" with fabrics donated to our church for our quilting group yesterday, so now I can concentrate on this one.  I am going to send it to a family who just moved from our town to one in Washington state and their baby was diagnosed with cancer -- a brain tumor, actually.  Just seems like the right thing to do!  His name is Zander!  Going to do the intermediate/advanced quilt!

This thread showed up on the front page today and caught my eye.  I've been intending to start making more time for crafting and figured this would be a good motivator.  Thanks for sharing the link.  I guess I'm a little late, but I'm looking forward to getting started.

Yeah, astamour! I think you can start anytime! I won't start sewing for at least another week probably, this week is crazy busy.

You can join any time...and like Mare said, if you are late, you will get the clues from the previous week!  If anyone figures out what we are making DON'T TELL ME!!!  I have a few weeks at the end of October that I will be out of town so I don't want to pop in here and see a completed quilt block!!!

I'm going to make the intermediate/advanced quilt.

I agree with alwaysinmyroom about not telling if you figure out what's being made.  I joined the Facebook group and was quite disappointed when people started posting pictures of what they had made in clue 1 because it totally took away the fun for me.  I may not keep following that group as I don't want to find out ahead of time what's being made.

oh so glad you said that!  She did show a picture of what we are suppose to make...that is fine with me as long as I have it before I see it!  Maybe we should make it a rule that you can't post until Wednesdays?  That way, everyone here has a chance to at least read email...

Well I was just about to post my completed clues, but then I saw the comments about no spoilers . I decided to do two quilts, one will be the beginner and the other the intermediate/advanced. The beginner one will be a Christmas present for my mother in law who loves Hello Kitty, these are her fabrics:

And then this other one is a quilt finally for me! I just love the tiny snails in the dark fabric:

I think I'm going to go crazy waiting for the clues each week. I'm not a very patient person...
